Laura Dunaway founded Innovative Performing Artists, Inc. in 2016 with an interest in teaming up with extraordinary artists and their management to provide individualized booking and creative services. In Fall 2018, Vincent Russo joined IPA to further the activities of the company. Laura & Vincent consult closely with the roster and management team at Park Avenue Artists.
Prior to forming IPA, Laura was an agent with United Talent Agency (formerly The Agency Group) where she booked a very diverse roster of artists such as Alison Balsom, Jake Shimabukuro, Jane Krakowski, Kishi Bashi, Snarky Puppy, and many more with orchestras and music venues/series all across North America. Laura's experience encompasses several facets of the music industry including artist management and booking, public relations, education, and performance. Laura also served as Director of Workplace Programs at Business Committee for the Arts, an organization that promotes business support of the arts which was founded by David Rockefeller. Additionally, Ms. Dunaway has held positions at Alliance Artist Management, Vantage Artists Management, ICM Artists and internships with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Interlochen Center for the Arts. Laura graduated from The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University with a Master's degree in percussion performance and earned her Bachelor's degree in percussion performance from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
Before joining IPA, Vincent was the Assistant Director of Artist Management at Concert Artists Guild where he helped to launch the career of young musicians that included Parker Quartet, WindSync, Brasil Guitar Duo, Sybarite5, and others. He has also been the Program Director with the Huntington Arts Council where he programmed their Annual Summer Arts Festival. Vincent’s background encompasses many other facets of the performing arts including experience with a record label, recording studios; and stints at Carnegie Hall and Columbia Artists Management.
He has served on the Board of Directors for the Cinema Arts Centre, Long Island Composers Alliance, and as a volunteer for the Long Island Philharmonic.
